I have been working in journalism for 15 years. For the last 5 years I am a member of the LRT Investigative Desk which publish investigations for all three media platforms: news portal, television and radio channel. I have also worked on two investigative journalism documentaries: 'Inside the Riot' and and 'PC Lithuania'.
My investigative work focuses on political corruption, money laundering, disinformation and national security issues. Me and my team has collaborated in a number of cross-border investigations with partners from Newsweek.pl, Frontstory, Correctiv.org, Delfi Estonia, Radio Free Europe, Expressen, Dossier Center, Re:Baltica, Kyiv Independent, Vsquare and etc.

The Lithuanian Public Broadcaster (LRT) is the media group that is owned by the public. LRT is a member of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) since 1993. In 2023 LRT became the first public media organization in the region to be awarded the internationally recognized Journalism Trust Initiative (JTI) Certificate. In 2018 LRT established Investigative Department which consists of 5 investigative journalists: Indrė Makaraitytė, Rūta Juknevičiūtė, Jurga Tvaskienė, Mindaugas Aušra, Jurgita Čeponytė.
The Lithuanian Journalism Centre (LJC) has been established by the Open Society Foundation on 30th of March 1995. The Centre has been registered as an independent non-governmental non-profit organization for informal education. The Lithuanian Journalism Centre organizes mid-career training courses for journalism professionals.
Rūta Juknevičiūtė is a lecture on investigative journalism.
